MLE++ is a software product which includes all of the source code, all comments and documentation of the program included with the source code, and the manuals MLE++ Maximum Likelihood in C++ User's Manual and MLE++ With Microsoft (R) Visual C++ (R) 2010 Express Edition. MLE++ is copyrighted by, and all rights are reserved by Ian G. Cahill. MLE++ is supplied under a single-user license, and may be used or copied only in accordance with the license agreement.

Standard MLE++ License Agreement

The single-user license allows the user to make one copy of the source code for back-up purposes. The purchaser must ensure that only one person can use the software at any time, as with a library book. The single-user license does not allow any use over a network.

The MLE++ license is intended solely for end users, such as statisticians and econometricians conducting research. To assist such users, full source code for the econometric models is provided as part of the product. Nevertheless, MLE++ is not supplied for use by software developers who wish to distribute programs. Without prior written permission of the author, Ian G. Cahill, no part of MLE++ may be reproduced, adapted, translated, compiled, or transmitted, in any form or by any means, alone or as part of another product, for any purpose other than the personal use of an owner of an MLE++ license. If you wish to share programs developed with MLE++, you or your colleague must purchase another license for MLE++.

Use by Developers

Use by developers for distribution is not permitted under the Standard MLE++ License. Special agreements may be considered on a case-by-case basis with developers whose products do not compete with Cahill Software. In these cases the Standard License fees will not apply, and fees may be negotiated.
